We mitigate institutional risk of adverse exposure by ensuring UC Santa Cruz employees have the knowledge and tools they need to make ethical and compliant decisions and know where to get information and support when dilemmas arise.

Anna Finn

Associate Chancellor and Chief of Staff and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer

Anna Finn has served as the Associate Chancellor and Chief of Staff for UC Santa Cruz since July 2019 and took on the role of Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) in March 2022. Anna earned a PhD in English from UC Irvine and previously worked as the Special Assistant to the Provost at UC Riverside. At UC Santa Cruz, Anna oversees the administrative management of the Chancellor’s office and Audit and Management Advisory Services, supports strategy and organizational change, and manages special projects with organizational-wide impact.

Christina Armstrong

Christina Armstrong

Special Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives

Christina currently serves as Special Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives at UC Santa Cruz. In this role, she helps implement the strategic vision of the Chancellor and the university by providing project management of large and small scale initiatives that are stewarded by the Chancellor’s Office. As a student affairs professional by training, Christina brings over a decade of experience in higher education covering Title IX, student activities, and residential life. Christina has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chico State and a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana State University.
